neoSilo unveiled…
Research and development project neoSilo has finally been unveiled. The renewal of brutalist iconic Silo-Auto parking infrastructure, in Porto, has been presented to the Municipality. By injecting the housing program and a new social/cultural rooftop, along with most of the existing public parking, neoSilo will regain its status of driving force of Porto´s Uptown.

ARG studio´s new project, Villa Pura, is a family villa located in Portugal. Inspired in the scale and spatial ratios of Palladio´s Villa Rotonda, the new house tackles the dynamic relation between the social/communal realm and private/individual spaces.

Sodastream retail kiosks are now up and running, in several retail areas in Portugal. The brand commissioned ARG studio to be responsible for the product design and physical branding, for the Portuguese market. Plans for international expansion, are being developed.

Ricardo Guedes, as a partner of OnOffice architects, has been nominated as one the 30th upcoming emergent architecture practices, by Wallpaper* Magazine, in its 2010 Design Directory issue. The ceremony was held in the Pompidou-Metz Museum, designed by Japanese Architect Shigeru Ban.

Vilamoura Avenue rehabilitation is completed. A network of leisure, sports, and urban design platforms, that occupy the Eng. João Meireles avenue, Vilamoura´s main city entrance. It focuses on the urban mobility, and relation with the leisure identity of the city.

ARG studio project "Mobilidade" selected for the Mobility Award 2007, exhibition. The award competition was promoted by Portugal´s Architecture Association and was held in the association headquarters. The exhibition showcased new ways of implementing mobility strategies.

The first Lisbon Architecture Triennale, in partnership with the Expresso newspaper, has nominated the "Liberdade" project as one of the 1st prizes. The co-authored project tackles the urban conditions of Lisbon´s Avenida da Liberdade, as a study case for street mobility.

Multi+ project won the 1st Prize of the Tektonica International Competition. The co-authored project was awarded the 1st prize for it´s sharp and flexible approach. A mock-up of the proposal will be built, and host the Tektonica 2008 award ceremony in Lisbon.
